Narrative Toward Books Walking on Water (The Walk #5)
In this fifth New York Times bestseller in the Walk series, Richard Paul Evans’s hero Alan Christoffersen must say some painful goodbyes and learn some important lessons as he comes to the end of his cross-country walk to Key West. After the death of his beloved wife, after the loss of his advertising business to his once-trusted partner, after bankruptcy forced him from his home, Alan Christoffersen’s daring cross-country journey—a walk across America, from Seattle to Key West, with only the pack on his back—has taught him lessons about love, forgiveness and, most of all, hope.
Now Alan must again return west to face yet another crisis, one that threatens to upend his world just as he had begun to heal from so much loss, leaving him unsure of whether he can reach the end his journey. It will take the love of a new friend, and the wisdom of an old friend, to help him to finally leave the past behind and find the strength and hope to live again.

Just finish Book #5 in the Walk series a few days ago! Wow, what a great read! If you enjoy keeping caught up in a book, where you feel you are walking along with the character then you will love this series. Evans is a great author and I plan to read many more of his books. Already have purchased others and have some on my Amazon wish list. Most of the quotes below are from the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. Some will not make sense until you read the book. I know this book has madeWOW!!! That has to be the first word said about this amazing book (series of five books) about one man's walk across the country (from Seattle, WA to Key West, FL). It's a long, wonderful, joyous, silly, sad, devastating, everything journey and this book capped off the series with joy and heartache. I love when Alan is in a restaurant with Nicole and her roommate (her name is escaping me) and she laughs and points to a picture of a chicken on the wall that says: "I dream of a day when a chicken
A great 5th & final book to end The Walk series. Alan Christoffersen is an understated character, finding his way through life and grief and new love as he continues his walk from Seattle to the Florida keys. With new obstacles in his way that cause him to reflect on his childhood, we learn a new layer to his character.
I loved this series and couldn't wait for this book. I was so excited about reading about Alan walking through Florida, especially the Keys. But I was disappointed. The first half of the book was about Alan and his father and it was very good. Then the 2nd half od the book was his walk. I thought the walk was very rushed. Especially the part through the Keys. It was very rushed and boring. Alan didn't experience many people and it was very descriptive. The Keys are very beautiful and colorful
I have followed Alan's walk from the beginning to the finish, and I tell you, I surely hated to see it end. At the end of the beginning look, he is summoned back to Los Angeles after his own medical scare to face another, this time, his father's. As he goes back and tend to his dad, he discovers things he wasn't privy to in the past, but allows him to fully see the father he didn't know. In the middle of that, he has yet to reach out to Falene, but with with time he does, but by then, she is
At last, this is the final installment of Richard Paul Evan's series about Alan Christoffersen loosing his wife and eventually deciding to walk from Seattle to the end of the Florida keys. I have enjoyed this series and the characters that Alan met along the way. This is a good ending to the series. One thing I did notice in this book that Alan had been very ill previously and there was only a couple of days illness not a life threatening illness. So what happened with that? There are so
