awesome book to read! I'm glad there will be 13 books total! My recommendation to those readers that are interested in this book, you HAVE to start with the Big Bad Wolf Series or you will have a hard time understanding this spin off series! Other than that enjoy!

This series just gets better and better... and though there are similarities in the women... a fact they straight up point it out as a sign of a woman being a queen... Chloe is my favorite... because she's finally a female character in Killough-Walden's books that takes charge... she knows more than the previous queens about the world she's entering... in fact she's been living amongst it for much longer than anyone may realize... but even as she knows that evil is coming for her... and knows

4.5 starsI started to read Heather's books through the Big Bad Wolf series and really enjoyed them all - from there I progressed to this series and again, she didn't let me down. I don't love them 'quite' as much as the Big Bad Wolf books, but it's a close thing!I'd been looking forward to this one in particular. The whole idea of a previous 'baddie' having a shot at redemption through finding his soulmate (his Warlock Queen in this case) had me hooked. The fact that said future Queen was on the



The Warlock King, book four in the series made me reconsider some things when I rate HK-W stories.The plot gets 4* from me because it has me wanting to know more about the world and how it unfolds.The delivery on the other hand gets 1* because honestly there are times when I wonder what was she thinking or not...Chloe saw and run away from Jason but he kept track of her location at all times, since she is his queen. I love Fantasy Romance! Not only is it a wonderful escape from reality but it also appeals to the "Chic Lit" loving side of me that wants everybody to be in love and live happily ever after. Heather Killough-Walden's books usually add a third element that I find appealing - fast-paced action and suspense. So it was without hesitation that I bought the latest book in the King series, The Warlock King. Sadly it did not live up to my expectations at all.Jason and Chloe are almost secondary
