Rendition As Books The Year I Met You
A thoughtful, captivating and ultimately uplifting novel from this uniquely talented author Jasmine know two things: one, she loves her vulnerable sister unconditionally, and will fight to the death to protect her from anyone who upsets her. Two, she's only ever been good at one thing – her job helping business start-ups. So when she’s sacked and put on gardening leave, Jasmine realises that she has nothing else to fill her life. Insomnia keeps her staring out of her bedroom window, and she finds herself watching the antics of her neighbour, shock jock Matt, with more than a casual eye. Matt is also taking a forced leave of absence from work, after one of his controversial chat shows went too far… Jasmine has every reason to dislike Matt, and the feeling appears to be mutual. But not everything is as it seems, and soon Jasmine and Matt are forced to think again…

Actual rating: 3.5 stars 'The Year I Met You' is my second Cecilia Ahern book. Last year I read 'How To Fall In Love' and, well, I absolutely fell in love. With the book itself. And a little bit with Cecilia for giving us such a wonderful gift. My sister actually owns all of Cecilia's books, so when I finished a pretty heavy and violent sci-fi book last week, I decided to read something with a lighter tone. I still had a Jenny Colgan book in bookcase as well. Should've gone with that one, 'TheThe Year I Met You is a standalone, women's fiction novel written by Cecelia Ahern. My reading pace during this book was slow and steady, partly due to time management but mostly due to wanting the experience to last as long as possible. I adored this book! It's insightful and unpredictable. It's funny, relatable, and emotional. It goes outside the norm in terms of writing style and story development, and I loved it!So many types of relationships are featured in this story and the lead character
I tried my best to finish this book but I just couldnt get through the whole thing. I even put it down for a couple of days and tried finishing it after taking a break from it but despite being only 85 pages away from the end, I just know that I dont want to force myself to finish it. It would just make me unhappy and I dont need that right now. The Year I Met You was such a boring book, I literally have nothing positive to say about its plot. I was always waiting for something big to happen

You may remember Cecelia Ahern from such books as PS I Love You and Where Rainbows End. The Irish author has always been one for tugging at the heartstrings of her readers, while secretly provoking inner thought and self-reflection. In The Year I Met You, Jasmine has been laid off from a job that she loves and while she spends the year constructing a front garden for her house, she finds new friendships, a new love and of course, she rediscovers herself. The supporting characters in this novel
The Year I Met You Non-Review on K-BooksThis review is actually killing me to write. I have been a humongous fan of Cecelia Ahern for around 10 years ever since I read her debut, PS, I Love You, when I was at sixth form. Since then I have read pretty much every book she has wrote and loved all of them. I was so excited for new stuff from Cecelia and I am absolutely devastated that I just couldn't get into this book.I first started this book 2 years ago, when it was first released and I got
When starting this book, I was a bit skeptical. I read some reviews and it was a mixed one. As I Started reading, I found it easy, not that much of character to get confused on. The title of the book, makes people think that this book falls in Romantic Genre but that's absolutely wrong judgement. As I read I wanted to find what is the main plot and storyline of the book. Then after reading a few chapter, I was feeling bored because it was like watching a typical Hollywood movie. Being said this,
Theres something about Cecelia Aherns writing. Every time Ive picked up one of her books, its been exactly what Id been looking for - from the more fantastical to those more grounded in reality. The Year I Met You is exactly what I needed to read in this moment. A story of a career-driven woman, Jasmine, who finds herself fired from a company she helped build from the ground up. Who is she without her work? What does one do when they dont HAVE to do anything? Ive never been fired, but I have
