Though Rohini is excited about being chosen, she will be trained as a spy, which promises to be challenging against a civilization that can read minds. I read a lot of science fiction/ action/fantasy books, so this is a genre Im familiar with. Id never read anything from Greg Ripley before, but the description seemed interesting and I was intrigued with the opening pages and the premise. Im always on the lookout for fresh new talent, so I was curious to see how he would deliver in this one Voice of the Elders. While its not perfect, Mr. Ripley is unarguably a talented writer and has a lot of important ideas to share, but more than that he

Definitely worth a read. It took me a bit to fully engage with it, but once I did it was off to the races. I learned so much about Daoism, which was an unexpected pleasure. I look forward to the next tale of the Elders and their ambassadors on earth.

Greg Ripley was born in Montreal and spent his first five years in five different countries. He lost track of how many jobs hes had (somewhere over thirty) but along the way he has worked as a barista in Tennessee, an organic farmer in New Mexico, and an acupuncturist in Minnesota. Greg studied Chinese religions at the University of Tennessee and Acupuncture and Chinese medicine at NWHSU. HeDefinitely worth a read. It took me a bit to fully engage with it, but once I did it was off to the races. I learned so much about Daoism, which was an unexpected pleasure. I look forward to the next tale of the Elders and their ambassadors on earth.

Great first outingGood story line. Some interesting facts about Taoism. Cant wait to find out more about the elders world. Great bad guy who embodies some of the resistance to solving climate change.

Voice of the Elders is a timely SciFi novel about Climate change and where it will certainly lead us if we do not start changing our way of life in some major ways. The twist in this novel? Aliens come and reveal themselves as the Elders at a UN Conference that is addressing the consequences of climate change and the greedy fossil fuel conglomerates upon our planet.
