Spurn (Walker Saga #2)
An epic journey.
If the Seventine are released, will anyone survive?
Book two in the Walker Saga follows Abigail and her friends as they tame the world of Spurn.
‘Go to Spurn,’ she was told.
Oh, and by the way the planet is ninety-five percent water and the inhabitants are hybrid fish. Of course, no one seems to care that Abigail can’t swim.
Surprisingly, jetting off to a water planet is not the weirdest thing to happen this week. But she’s on a deadline to the find the first half-Walker girl, as the very essences of the seven worlds are starting to unravel. And with each Seventine release the chaos richochets further.
Of course, with her Walker energy causing havoc and the savage Spurns ... well, it’s safe to say nothing so far has gone to plan.
And on top of that a bombshell she did not see coming.
Secrets are revealed and loyalties challenged but with her best friend and soul mate by her side, can she really lose out?
Crais - the burning planet - book three in the Walker Saga (due for release early 2014)
This was a great sequel to FIRST WORLD. The story continues on, and were introduced to new characters, mainly Talina. I heart Talina. She's so sweet. Again, I'm just amazed at Jaymin Eve's ability to create such an amazing and complex world. In Spurn, we're dropped in, well, Spurn. An alternate world housing "people" who live on this planet that is 95% water. They have colorful hair, have gills, webbed toes, and travel on pontoons. We get more Abbs, Luce, Brace, Lucas, and Sam. I never get tired
I really enjoyed the book but the pace was interesting. At first it went fast seeming to come to a precipice before it felt like it could possibly be over. And then it slowed in the middle to kind of pick back up to a cliff hanger. So the first half of the book was about finding Talina from Spurn and she is this loving and gentle spurn and I did enjoy her evolution as she become more confident in herself and spent more time around Abby and Lucy. She became this person that was closed off in
I definitely liked this one better than the first and it held my attention all the way through. There were some parts in the beginning I was a little confused about with the writing but just moved on since it didnt affect the story, but just what my mind was trying to picture. Right when i was afraid it was getting predictable, I was surprised when it took a complete right turn. The ending was kind of shocking and heart stopping. Im still not even sure what exactly happened so am anxious for
When I first started reading this book I was very confused, I thought that Jaymin had suddenly changed the character of the book and that it would be a whole new story. (Don't worry it definitely isn't). The beginning of each of the rest of the books in the series start with a chapter from the perspective of a new character, which is really cool because then you discover new people and world before the main character does. It mixes things up a bit, and I love it.
Rating (Average for book 1 and 2): 3 StarsThis is going to be a 2 in 1 review since I read First World and Spurn back to back. Alright well first off let me say that Jaymin Eve did a very great job at building the worlds that we got to visit in each book. I thought they were well developed and could easily picture each planet and population in my head. The thing that is going to stop me from reading this series though is the main characters. Look I didn't mind Abby/Aribella in the first book,
I'm only docking a star because I thought there should have been more of Tali... after starting the book getting to know her and her family and all about her life and what made her HER... Abby shows up, and the author drops Tali like a hot tamale and even sticks her in her room to wallow away from EVERYONE ELSE so that the story goes back to Abby and the crew from Book 1. Don't get me wrong, I loved it... I just wish Jaymin Eve wouldn't have excluded Tali from the new dynamic. Hopefully she

I made it pretty clear with the previous book that I did not like First World. However, me being a completionist and having received the first three books in the series as freebies I had no choice but to keep going with Spurn. Lets just say it was as I excepted it to be, although since I consciously kept reading something I knew I would have major issues with I feel generous enough to give it two stars. That and another reason. The problems I had with First World are pretty much the same as inThis was a great sequel to FIRST WORLD.
