Wow. I was not expecting much from this book but to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. I cannot imagine what the author had to experience; well technically I did because I read his book, but I know I could not live a life so positive like he did after his survival. This is a must read. There were just some parts that were quite repetitive but maybe you have to keep having the same thoughts over and over again to survive what he did.An amazing bookI received a copy of the book through GoodReads First Reads for my honest review. A Goodreads Giveaway Kindle gift that opened my eyes into life in India. Viral is an American college student who comes home to visit his family. He is caught up in a horrendous earthquake. It was amazing how close Viral came to death but his strong spirit, his prayers to his god and his love for his relatives sustain him. This story was heart wrenching and somewhat repetitious but it made you think how lucky you are to have food, water and the luxuries of life.
What an amazing story of how the author had to go through so much but because of his faith and determination, came out of that dark period and was able to share his story with the world.The book starts off with Viral on a plane on his way back home to India to spend time with his family and go on vacation.
