Review:So that a wrap my wags! The Empire of Storms Trilogy is done. And honestly, I think I really like this trilogy overall. Yes, it undeniably has its problems. For starters, I think that internal dialogue couldve been done better, I thought the pacing range from decent to slightly mediocre, and I thought that the plot for the final installment couldve been a bit more intense. I keep feeling like I missed something. Was there was an epilogue that I missed? Because there was so much that was left unresolved I feel like there must be another half of a book out there. I finished this earlier today and found myself frequently lamenting the fact that I am not going to revisit these characters and world again which had me at quite the loss. So much so I am actually considering when I could justify a re-read which is something I have not done in years.Although the ending was not quite what I wanted, a little rushed and a couple of slightly too easily resolved situations, the rest of the book and series as a whole has drawn me in, made me love the characters and

A justified and warranted ending to a thrilling trilogy by Skovron.

An incredibly underrated, well-written political fantasy. If you like your fantasy light on the romance, heavy on the characters and world-building, and creative in its stance on race, colonialism, technology, and even gender roles, then pick this one up. I, for one, can't wait to see what Skovron comes up with next.

Pretty good ending to the series. Some nice resolutions while still leaving some things open. I actually liked that Red and Hope had some tension when they were finally reunited and that things didn't just smoothly go back to the way they were. Characters are really interesting and Uter was a really nice addition. Hopefully there will be more novels in this world.
