The Hatchling (Guardians of Ga'Hoole #7)
I really didn't like the majority of the book with Nyroc and the Pure Ones. I even stopped reading it for several weeks because I could not get into his life with his mother. It didn't pick up for me until he left and then came back and then Philip died and then Nyroc left again and then he started seeing Otulissa and then it all got much more interesting again. I am very intrigued to see where it goes with the northern expedition and how Nyroc and Otulissa's stories will align.

The Hatchling is the seventh book of the Guardians of Ga'Hoole series, in which a new era has begun. This is the first book in the series that has a central character besides Soren. The central character is the hatchling, Nyroc, who is the son of the evil Kludd and the equally evil Nyra. As the story begun I thought I knew what to expect. Now that Metal Beak is dead, a new villain must rise up and lead the Pure Ones against the Guardians to continue the epic struggle between good and evil. I
3.5/5 starsAlthough I enjoy the new direction the story is taking, Soren and the gang are sorely missed.
The Hatchling by Kathryn Lasky. Is a book about a owl named Nyroc born into the family of kludd and Nyra who are leaders of the pure ones, they want him to be leader, but he doesn't want to. I loved this book. In every way it was amazing because it showed a whole new perspective of a different character we have never heard before. I've seen on the TV, people making other people do this, and that is what Nyroc is going through. I'd recommend this book to anyone who likes animals killing one
