Explanation Toward Books Storm Siren (Storm Siren #1)

“I raise my chin as the buyers stare. Yes. Look. You don’t want me. Because, eventually, accidentally, I will destroy you.”

In a world at war, a slave girl’s lethal curse could become one kingdom’s weapon of salvation. If the curse—and the girl—can be controlled.

As a slave in the war-weary kingdom of Faelen, seventeen-year-old Nym isn’t merely devoid of rights, her Elemental kind are only born male and always killed at birth — meaning, she shouldn’t even exist.

Standing on the auction block beneath smoke-drenched mountains, Nym faces her fifteenth sell. But when her hood is removed and her storm-summoning killing curse revealed, Nym is snatched up by a court advisor and given a choice: be trained as the weapon Faelen needs to win the war, or be killed.

Choosing the former, Nym is unleashed into a world of politics, bizarre parties, and rumors of an evil more sinister than she’s being prepared to fight . . . not to mention the handsome trainer whose dark secrets lie behind a mysterious ability to calm every lightning strike she summons.

But what if she doesn’t want to be the weapon they’ve all been waiting for?

Set in a beautifully eclectic world of suspicion, super abilities, and monsters, Storm Siren is a story of power. And whoever controls that power will win.

Criticism Of Books Storm Siren (Storm Siren #1)
Well, this is awkward. Every one of my friends who read this book either liked it or loved it. Sigh, I guess we all feel this way from time to time.Right? Alright then, let me explain you why this book didnt capture my heart.First off, I cant go on without saying that I had a feeling about this book. Somehow, I felt like I wouldnt enjoy it, and yes I admit that the cover had to do with it. At first glance, I didnt like the cover at all but, then, the more I looked at it, the more I got curious

I had been anxiously looking forward to reading Storm Siren ever since I first set eyes on the cover. Just look at it. Isnt it one of the most gorgeous covers youve ever seen? I suppose Im a bit biased considering my obsession with the color blue. But anyway, the book itself did not disappoint. Mary Weber created a fascinating world that was very different from other fantasy books Ive read (and Ive read quite a few since its my favorite genre). The society almost felt like The Hunger Games with

Rating: 3.5 StarsThe more I ruminate over Storm Siren the less I find to enjoy about it. I found Weber's debut to be remarkable when I originally read it, mainly because I had read the novel in a single sitting and the adrenaline rush that comes from finishing an action-packed book is difficult to beat. It makes it hard to think and upon finishing Storm Siren I was concerned for the future of the series but, still, very much in love with the characters and journey I'd found inside. Now, having

2016 Book Awards Runner Up: Heroine of the Year 2016 (awarded to Nym)(more information about these awards on my blog)Thanks to Winnie who bought me this for Christmas!I need some good GIFs to describe how I feel right now. Hold on. Did you all get that?Good, because I'm still a mess because of this book.Seriously, from reading the excerpt I thought it would be good. But I did not expect this sort of emotional Throne of Glass-esq roller coaster of emotions.(alright, maybe not quite, but you get

1 starBR with RachelleIn a Word: Potential (though lets face it all of it wasted)OHMYGOD!Let me take a moment to pick my jaw up off the floor! The end of this book just kicked me in the face with a major cliffhanger! But lets buckle our seatbelts for a moment because this review is about to get a little rough.MAJOR SPOILERS BELOW but they are all marked ... so definitely resist the urge to click the spoiler tag ... you have been warned! The StoryOrphaned from a young age, Nym is a slave facing her

**Don't miss my interview with author Mary Weber, when we talk about Nym's character, friendships, costumes, awesome guys and whether the future series will have a love triangle. From the first page I was hooked on Storm Siren, and I loved it all the way until the end when I reached one of the worst cliffhangers ever. At the center of this book is one broken but powerful girl. But as I became caught up in Nym's personal journey and emotions, I found many more surprises and a lot greater action
