Berserk, Vol. 22 (ベルセルク / Berserk #22)
Guts and Casca return home, only to find an unwanted visitor. Also get to see some epic sword battles and just how merciless the Kushan are.
Miura really managed to pack a lot into this volume. We opened a new arc with Griffiths return. My heart sank when he told Guts he just didnt care about him. This remains one of the most crushing moments in the manga so far. The relationship between the two has always been the heart of this story, and Im looking forward to reading more of it after reading an arc that was just ok.What the last arc added is of course not without merit. The growing presence of the Kushan comes back in this volume,
Lady Farnese and Serpico's backstory was really interesting. At least now I know she's always been a bitch instead of it being a learned trait. Cheers.
Nice backstory of Farnese and Serpico and also nice introduction to the new group of villains seeing the new Band of the Hawk and nice foreshadowing with the witch character which adds to the mystery of what is going on and what is going to happen.
Griffith is ticking me off in this chapter and nice back story of serpico

This is another progression of Guts, the Black Swordsman. This edition is not only his story but also others around him and the kingdoms as well. It is an interesting graphic novel series.Guts and Casca return home, only to find an unwanted visitor. Also get to see some epic sword battles and just how merciless the Kushan are.
