I was drawn to this book by its title and spiffy cover art. I ended up enjoying it even more than I expected. If you like horror, science-fiction, and pop culture references, chances are you will enjoy this book, too.Lots of great stories like Lovecraft used to write. Most are set in the present day and some are in weird fantasy settings. Highly recommended!
This book grabbed ahold of my attention and pulled me into each story. I was wanting more by the end of the first story.
From the book's title I thought all the stories in this would be funny. A lot were really funny but many were solid horror stories too. a great mix of very different stories.
This is the page for the ebook version of the trade paperback. I rather like the idea of an ebook of Lovecraftian horrors. When, I wonder, will we all get to go digitally mad reading the electronic version of the NECRONOMICON....?
I really really enjoyed this! I love Lovecraft, and McLaughlin did an amazing job with the various short stories. I laughed, I made 'ick' faces, I shared passages with those around me. I highly recommend this book!!
