Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Sprung M.(Trans.): Lucid Exposition Of The Middle Way(Hbk)

I found this very useful in conjunction with other Madhyamaka commentaries (Karmapa's Middle Way; Tsong khapa's Ocean of Reasoning; Madman''s Middle Way) and a couple of Translations of the MMK when writing my last piece. It provides - via Candrakirti's trademark style - a great illumination of some of Nagarjuna's more ambiguous verses. Worth a read for anyone interested in Madhyamaka. The only issue with it is the sometimes ambiguous (and sometimes outright incorrect) translations of key phrases from the Sanskrit root - this is unlikely to bother the general reader, but if you are looking to this to do some philosophy, it is worth bearing in mind. My PhD supervisor laments that he does not own this book (whereas I do) but simultaneously notes that the translations herein are somewhat unreliable.
