a great way to continue the story :) I would be sure to read the first series before this one though or you'll be lost.

Loved it! I think it took me two days to read Defy, but that is only because I had to work, tend to my children, eat, and sleep! I have read Raine's first series and eagerly awaited this trilogy to become available. Tate is a beautiful girl in an excellent novel,DEFY, written by Raine Thomas. A glossary is at the beginning of the book.It is very helpful getting to understand the story and characters. Great storyline and wonderful characters. An excellent description of this fantastic world. I enjoyed this book very much and plan to pass it on to my granddaughter. A wonderful read, thank you. After the last series I read, I'm glad to say that I finally found a great series. Hahaha. This is a fast read. and so many few point of views. But, boy how I love every single one of the characters here. It said here that this book is the sequel from another series. You know, like Percy Jackson and The Olympians then we've got Hero of Olympus series. I'm tempting to read the previous series before this. Though I need to finish this one first. Going to the second book now :)

I would first like to say I haven't read Raine Thomas's Daughters of Saraqael trilogy, and this first novel Defy, which is the Firstborn trilogy, is about the children of these daughters of Saraqael.
