Weigh Up Regarding Books Monday Mourning (Temperance Brennan #7)

I struggle a little with the forensic terminology in these books but the story is I always good and I like the characters.

I have read all of Kathy Reichss offerings since her first book, Deja Dead was published in 1997. I have to ask myself why.I dont particularly like Temperance Brennan, Kathy Reichs forensic heroine. I dont like the settings of her novels, and even though I speak French, I dont like it when her characters do. Kathy Reichs has excellent story ideas and her plots are gripping. However, her characterization is weak. She seems to have decided that Tempe needs problems, and throws in a drinking

I always enjoy the Temperance Brennan novels, but I tend to favor the ones set outside of Canada. Monday Mourning ended up being the exception. I loved the mystery and the back and forth during the investigation between Tempe and Claudel. Kathy Reichs has a way of "dumbing down" the science so readers can firmly grasp the concepts presented and that was highly effective in this novel. The only thing I didn't enjoy was Tempe's reactions to her issues with Ryan. She's strong and straight-forward

I liked this book very much. I enjoyed how the story unfolded little-by-little with tiny puzzle pieces being unearthed. I like how Brennan's research pays off and how she is able to prove to Claudel that there is something to the bones found in the pizza basement. I had a thought that I often have when reading romance novels, this misunderstanding could be avoided if the characters just talked to one another. Wow what an action packed book almost too bad to be true (as in fatalities and everything) not my fave but still good for the queen of death

I enjoyed this, saw most of the twists coming but that's probably because I've read so many similar books in the genre, it was still a very well written story and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
