Wray (Tornians #2)
Kim Teel has had a hard life, at least she thought she had until her parents were suddenly killed and her sister disappears. At nineteen she realizes she’s been protected from all of life’s hardships, been taken care of her entire life, expecting and accepting it, she’d been terribly spoiled. Determined to change her ways, Kim goes looking for her sister only to be captured by the Ganglians and it is then that she learns what happens to the ‘unprotected’ females of the universe.
Wray finds himself drawn to the small female he finds beaten and abused on the Ganglian ship. She resembles a Tornian female but is much smaller. Could she be what he’s been searching for? Wray and Kim are both doing the same thing, trying to survive. But what they find is that there are more important things then just survival. And once they learn that the universe changes forever.
Aaaaand here we have the 2nd installment of the Tornians where it's still just like the #1 Grim for it is: "your average everyday space aliens rurrrrmance where the chick gets stolen from Earth (because of course there aren't enough breedable women for alien dudes) (don't remember the reason this one got stolen, but whatevs) and of course the humongous alien dude turns all soft and gooey for her while being still a badass badasser of a space hunk. And let's not forget he's all kinds of
Yum! Full of cheesy sci-fi alien deliciousness. I loved this book!
8/28/16 And another reread....one of my favorite of all time. I'm sure I will continue to reread it. Original review 2015This was a re-read for me. Not sure if it's the 3rd or 4th time but I still love it. I love the romance and how Kim grows from a selfish, spoiled brat to an amazing, strong woman. Wray is one of my all time favorite heros. He is so patient and loving. He is just what Kim needs and she is just what he needs. I love M.K. Eidem and I love this series.
The second book in the Tornians series by M.K. Eidem. Kim Teel is kidnapped from Earth by the Ganglians. When Emperor Wray travels to the Kaliszian Empire they encounter the Ganglian ship and Kim is rescued. When the Emperor is returning to his ship with Kim they are attacked and crash land on a deserted planet.I really liked it. Still had to deal with poor editing but the story itself was entertaining. I did feel it was odd that this book was the second in the series instead of the first and I
DNF @ 50%Wasn't nearly as good as the first one. I want my strong heroines back!
So in the first book we kept hearing about the first Earth girl who had arrived in the Skittle-alien's world, Kim, and how she overcame a lot of crap to become the Empress of this universe. I kept feeling like I was missing a pretty big piece of the puzzle because the references to Kim were like something we were supposed to know, but didn't. Like your parent's anniversary, your dog's birthday, or your friend's phone numbers (without our phones saving them - face it - we are all helpless and

Great follow-up to Grim...although it's kind of a prequel as well. It's starts off with Kim daydreaming about how she met Wray. In Grim, we only got snippets of this story so it was nice to get all of the details. We go through Kim's kidnapping and abuse by the Ganglions, her rescue and subsequent crash on a desolate planet, but the best part is that we see how Kim and Wray fall in love. It's super hot and really touching as well. The only part I didn't like was the first time Kim meets Wray's sonAaaaand here we have the 2nd installment of the Tornians where it's still just like the #1 Grim for it is: "your average everyday space aliens rurrrrmance where the chick gets stolen from Earth (because of course there aren't enough breedable women for alien dudes) (don't remember the reason this one got stolen, but whatevs) and of course the humongous alien dude turns all soft and gooey for her while being still a badass badasser of a space hunk.
